Robert Emmiyan of the Soviet Union became the second long jumper to leap 29 feet, soaring 29-1 Friday, the Tass news agency said www.carpaltunnel-cure.com. Emmiyan’s jump was only 1 1/2 inches short of the world record of 29-2 1/2, set in the 1968 Olympics by Bob Beamon of the United States.
